I really enjoy the aesthetics and manual process of early photography. This type of exploration has really influenced my work. Here are some samples of those experiments. The following is a Van Dyke brown on water color paper of a colonial site in Guadalajara, Mexico. The second is a polaroid emulsion lift on water color paper as well.
